Cindy Severson - Owner/Sales:
ph: (360)816-2129
cseverson@cascadefa.com
Cindy started this company in 1978 with little more than a knowledge of the industry (from an installation point of view), a small corner in a stationery store for her office, and a huge desire to make her customers’ homes beautiful for a reasonable price. One of her greatest talents lies in taking the existing along with the new and pulling everything together. Her number one goal has always been to make sure her customers are happy.
Family is one of Cindy’s greatest joys. You can see the happiness in her eyes when she is surrounded with kids, grandkids and a gaggle of pets. |

 |
Sunny Parsons - Owner/Managing Partner :
ph: (360)816-2141
sparsons@cascadefa.com
Sunny literally grew up in this industry. His apprenticeship started at the tender age of two when he went out on a carpet installation with Cindy, his mother. Growing up, he spent most of his summers working in the family business. When Sunny was nineteen, he decided to devote 100% of his focus to the floor covering business to see what would happen. As it turned out, Sunny became Cascade’s top sales associate after a year or so. He continued to work very hard to learn every aspect of the business and joined his mother as a partner in the business in 2002.
Sunny also takes great joy in his family and loves to travel and camp with them. He also enjoys scuba diving, baseball, skydiving and the occasional hand of Texas Hold’em. |
|
 |
Paul Edwards:
ph: (360)816-2138
pedwards@cascadefa.com |

|
Paul brings over 22 years of experience to Cascade. Paul’s total focus and desire is to satisfy the individual needs of each customer. His goal is to ensure that the finished product encapsulates the client’s taste, personality and fashion.
As another very talented member of the Cascade staff, Paul is a great drummer, plays bass and guitar, and also writes music. Paul also enjoys art and discussing Bible topics with anyone who shares the passion.

Jewels Kirby:
ph: (360)816-2148
jkirby@cascadefa.com
 |

 |
Joining us in 2005 as a design assistant, and new to the ‘retail’ end of the industry, she has a strong “materials” background learned through her father, Paul Edwards, a long-time floor covering installer and now one of our sales professionals. Meeting every day with a great smile, a positive attitude and a desire to assist customers with their selections and decorating needs, Jewels makes the success of every job a top priority.
Along with just about anything related to the ‘outdoors,’ Jewels also enjoys a good puzzle now and then, plus the occasional foray into Portland’s Pearl District with her husband. However, her favorite activity is spending time with her family. |
|
 |
Audrey Faulkner:
ph: (360)816-2124
afaulkner@cascadefa.com
Audrey is another family member whom we convinced to come join us here at Cascade several years ago. We sent her out with Cindy to make sure she was learning from the best. She learned her lessons very well and went out into the world of floor covering with a great smile, an engaging laugh, and buckets of enthusiasm for helping her customers make their world beautiful.
Audrey’s first love is family, of course, and right behind that are some of those ‘living on the edge’ type things like sky diving and water skiing. Traveling rates pretty high in her book too. |
|
 |
Debbie Guenther:
ph: (360)816-2131
dguenther@cascadefa.com
Debbie is another family member who decided that Cascade would be a great place to work and learn the industry several years ago. After working extensively with Cindy, her sister, she went on to become one of Cascade’s top Floor Covering Associates. Debbie wants everyone to know that if you can’t make it in to the store during business hours, she will be more than happy to make an evening appointment with you.
After family and grandchildren, Debbie’s love is gardening. Her yard is always full of spectacular color. |
|
 |
Warren Heater :
ph: (360)816-2132
wheater@cascadefa.com
Warren is our Property Management Specialist and brings 20+ years experience in this industry to the table. He works very closely with property managers to ensure their floor covering replacement needs are met in the most efficient, cost and time effective ways possible.
Warren was born in New Zealand, but has spent most of his life right here in Clark County. With family being very high on Warren’s priority list, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and considers those to be the best of times. After family time, he loves to golf, fish and work in the garden. |
|
 |
Shawn Medak:
ph: (360)816-2139
smedak@cascadefa.com
Shawn began learning about this business more than twelve years ago when he started cleaning carpets with his cousin, Sunny Parsons. That experience gave them a great base knowledge about all the different types of carpet and how they wear and look over the years. After spending several years in the financial world, Shawn rejoined the family fold as a Floor Covering Specialist and works exclusively with our builder clientele. The builders appreciate Shawn’s eye for detail and technical expertise and are confident that they can rely on him to get the job done on their schedule.
Shawn is a great family man and when time allows, loves to play golf, poker, and is a self-admitted sports ‘fanatic.’ He also loves to participate in the ‘my team is best’ discussions that occur on a regular basis around lunch time. |
|
 |
Steve Moore:
ph: (360)816-2140
smoore@cascadefa.com
Steve joined us in 1994 bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience ranging from ownership of a furniture store to ownership of a floor covering store in Helena Montana. Steve and his beautiful family relocated here to the fabulous Northwest in 1994 where he showed up at our door offering his skills and expertise. We hired him on the spot. Steve has since become our Insurance Specialist. His customer’s are almost exclusively families who have suffered some sort of home disaster and his number one goal is to make the replacement process as painless as possible for those families.
Aside from golfing and hunting, Steve also enjoys participation in the ‘my team is best’ lunch time event while wearing his ‘Cheesehead’ hat. |

 |
Lynn Olson:
ph: (360)816-2143
lolson@cascadefa.com
A veteran of this industry since the mid 80s, Lynn strives to provide the best possible customer service for his clients, a dedication that extends to running ‘emergency material deliveries’ to assure that installers have everything they need on the job for a great installation.
Lynn loves golf and says he tries to play ‘at least twice a year.’ (We think at least a few dozen times would be more accurate). Bowling is another of his many talents and he manages to score around the 200 mark most of the time.” Lynn’s children are involved in sports which keeps him pretty busy acting as their personal practice trainer and chauffeur. Two of his older sons are experienced filmmakers and insist that he ‘star’ in their Christmas movies. So far, the Hollywood offers are not pouring in, much to Lynn’s chagrin and our delight

 |
Barry Pieratt :
ph: (360)816-2152
bpieratt@cascadefa.com
Barry joined us in mid-2006, bringing with him the many skills and experience he acquired while managing his own courier business for many years. After working primarily by himself during that time, he says the best part of his career change has been working so closely with others in a team oriented environment. Barry jumped right in, and learned everything very quickly. We are very happy to have him here as part of the Cascade Flooring America Family.
The pride and joys of his life are his wife and two daughters. When Barry can squeeze some extra time into his busy schedule, he enjoys mountain biking and coaching soccer, as well as playing soccer himself |

Katy Meskill:
ph: (360)816-2134
khuennekens@cascadefa.com |
 |
Katy joined us in 2004 as an assistant in the bookkeeping department. She learned everything so quickly and did such a great job that Cindy, one of the owners, decided that she wanted Katy as her personal design assistant. Although Katy enjoyed working in the ‘paper end’ of the business, she finds that she really loves working with Cascade’s customers, and has continued classes to learn decorating techniques as well as to increase her product knowledge. We are very happy to announce that Katy is now our Hunter Douglas® certified sales assistant. Whether here in our showroom or in your home, Katy will help clients choose the perfect window treatments for the perfect installation. Call today for your personal consultation.
Katy enjoys traveling with her soon to be husband Chris. Snow boarding in the winter months and boating in the summer are other passions of the couple. During quiet times they are content hanging out with their two dogs, Max and Lucy. |

| INSTALLATION TEAM |
 |
Tom Severson - Installation Supervisor:
Tom has spent the last 29 years in the floor covering industry, first as an apprentice in Local 1236 of the Floor Covering Union and then as a journeyman for the next 21 years. His specialty is carpet but also installs vinyl and laminate flooring. Tom joined Cascade’s floor covering installation family in 2003 and has become very important not only in installations but in the training aspect as well. Tom prides himself on the quality of every installation and won’t leave the job until everything looks great and the customer is happy with their floor coverings.
After family and home, one of Tom’s favorite past times is going outdoors on a great afternoon with his metal detector searching for illusive treasures. He has a very interesting collection of old metal items including jewelry and coins. It’s always fun when Tom brings in his latest ‘find’ to share with us. |
|
 |
Frank Bottrell:
Frank joined the Cascade Flooring America installation team in 2009, bringing with him twenty years of experience in the industry. Before Frank became a Cascade employee, he had been doing quality work for us as a subcontractor since 1991. His professional goal is to apply all of his talents, abilities and experience to each job and leave it looking beautiful for the customer.
Frank has two beautiful children who are “his world” and a wonderful fiancée whom he plans to marry very soon. They all love fishing and watching NASCAR together and, occasionally, Frank gets in a game of golf when he can work it into his busy schedule. |
|
 |
Jay Carr:
Jay was raised on a farm in Missouri and knows the meaning of hard work. He moved to Vancouver in 2001 and graduated from Skyview High School in 2006. Upon graduation, he apprenticed as a carpet installer with Tom Severson. Jay enjoys installing carpet and vinyl and has stated that this is a "lifelong career."
Jay is married and stays busy as the father of a 5 year old daughter. His hobbies are dirt bikes and poker. |
|
 |
Scott Currie:
Scott has been in the flooring industry for 25 years. He is very detail oriented and always strives for perfection. Scott began his career as a carpet installer, but over the years has perfected the skills necessary to install tile, stone, wood, vinyl, laminate wood and countertops, too.
Scott has a very unique set of characteristics; he is both punctual and a perfectionist, yet he is also very laid back and easy going. He becomes friends with everyone he meets. When he’s not working, his main hobby is hunting for rocks, which he then cuts and polishes. Scott is very outdoorsy and loves to camp. He and his wife of 13 years have 9 children. Scott is also the doting grandfather of his first grandchild |
|
 |
Matthew Eufers:
Matt learned about many aspects of the floor covering industry while he worked for a local floor covering installation business several years ago. He became acquainted with Cascade through the many jobs they did for us as subcontractors. Matt joined our floor covering team in 2010 and dedicates himself to ensuring that every job is a ‘quality job.’
When Matt isn’t working, he loves home improvement projects not only for his own home but helping his family improve their homes as well. Matt also enjoys spending time riding his quad, golfing and assisting his fiancée with their wedding plans for next year.

 |
Tyreena Fouts:
Tyreena Fouts joined Cascade’s floor covering installation team in 2009. She brought twelve years of experience with her beginning in a small fabrication shop where she learned to build solid surface counter tops. After six years as a fabricator and supervisor, she was ready for a change and began training as a floor covering installer and remodeler’s assistant. Tyreena loves the challenges, attention to detail and problem-solving opportunities that are required for a job very well done. She likes nothing better than leaving a jobsite where a happy customer is admiring their new floor covering.
When Tyreena isn’t working, she enjoys studying the Bible, cooking, hiking, camping, skiing and most of all, spending time with her family and friends and just enjoying a beautiful day. |

Serge Kurko:
Serge came to the United States from Russia in 1993 when he was ten years old. He became involved in the construction industry while still in high school, building decks and fences. He has experience installing siding, framing buildings, roofing and just about every other trade in the construction industry.
Serge eventually apprenticed under his brother-in-law, an expert in hardwood and tile installation. After learning the tricks of the trade, he opened his own installation business in 2006, doing a great job as an independent installer for Cascade Flooring America. When the Great Recession hit, Serge closed his business and became a permanent employee of CFA.
Serge has been married for five years and is the proud father of a tiny 3 lb. Yorkie Terrier, named Teddy. When Serge isn’t enjoying the company of his wife or playing with Teddy, he is probably out riding his motorcycle. He loves discovering new activities as well as anything with a motor in it. Once in a while, you can find him on the slopes, where he enjoys snowboarding.
Serge’s outlook is “living and loving life and excited about what the future holds for us.” |

 |
Gary Motil:
Gary has been a part of the Cascade team since 2005 when he began working in the warehouse and very quickly moved on to the floor covering end of things. He is skilled in all types of flooring installations, as well as laminates, but considers vinyl to be his specialty. Gary very obviously loves what he does and prides himself on being a perfectionist.
Gary is a very easy going, fun loving kind of guy, enjoying walks with his wife, Nicole, and their two German Shepherds in his free time—a commodity which diminished very suddenly and dramatically with the recent arrival of their beautiful new daughter. Gary is most definitely the proud papa and loves spending time with his newly expanded family |

Tony Rodriguez
Shortly after finishing school, Tony joined a transportation company where he learned about truck maintenance and the inventory of parts needed to keep a fleet up and running. He also supported the trucks by driving an escort pilot car when needed for oversized loads.
Tony joined us as an apprentice floor covering installer in 2009. He installs all types of floor covering now but his favorite is laminate/wood flooring. He loves to install it and is quite pleased when our customer is happy with the new floor.
In his spare time, Tony loves to play golf. He plays every chance he gets and it doesn't matter what the weather is doing either; he's a hard-core fanatic about it. When it's too dark to play golf, Tony likes to get together with friends and watch UFC. |

As a native to this area, Liz and her family enjoy many local nature activities such as camping, clam digging and white water rafting. She definitely enjoys the ‘no fear’ side of life shared by many Cascade staffers, but Liz’s favorite activity is just being together with and enjoying her family. |

Family is Jaime's number one priority in life and she spends a lot of time making sure they have as many family oriented activities as possible. They love traveling and camping with friends and family. Jaime is also a force to be reckoned with on the soccer field and has begun running marathons and working outside with plants and flowers. Even with all of that activity she and Sunny still manage to get in the occasional 'adult' weekend with friends. |

Linda Werner:

Linda is our ‘jack-of-all-trades.’ If she’s not running reports or trying to figure out what is going on with someone’s computer, she’s crawling around on the floor plugging cables in here and there. She joined us in 1994 and has pretty much figured out the ‘nuts and bolts’ of our system over the years and is now in charge of software training.
Linda enjoys home renovation projects, reading, and tearing down, building and rebuilding computers for her family. She is considered the family ‘geek’ and tries to keep everyone up and running. yelenaz@cascadefa.com

She also had a familiarity with the flooring industry through her husband who has been installing floor coverings for many years.
Yelena says that since she has five children, she has no time for hobbies, but when she does manage to put a few idle minutes together, she likes to dabble in real estate. |
